Start with identifying student's current level of understanding of the subject. Tke a simple test for written an spoken English (i am assumning that since you are asking about teachin then you must be aware of the subject yourself already).

Once the level is identified then start with making him practice basic grammar, next would be for him to start writting small passages and dthen he must read them loud and clear to you.

Later ask him to read and watch simple english books and videos and soon you should start recoding a few of the student's videos.

THIS WILL BE WELL BEGUN

You don't need to be an expert to teach someone spoken english. Just teach him the daily usage sentences which can be used in daily life.
