We Italians generally think Spanish language is easy. We can pick 70%-80% of what they say or at least the meaning of the sentence.
Like in Sicilian, they like using the 'past simple' in Spanish, while in Italian the 'present perfect' is used more, but this is the main difference and not a huge one
