The CAT syllabus includes three sections: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR), and Quantitative Aptitude (QA). 

Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC) 

Topics include reading comprehension, para jumbles, para summary, odd one out, para completion, grammar, fact inference judgment, and fill in the blanks

Reading comprehension passages may be based on topics like politics, history, society, literature, science, environment, abstract, mythology, technology, and culture

Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR)

Topics include analyzing and interpreting data presented in tables, graphs, charts, and diagrams 

Other topics include caselets, blood relation, seating arrangement, syllogism, coding-decoding, series, family tree, and inequalities 

Quantitative Aptitude (QA)

Topics include arithmetic, algebra, modern maths, number system, geometry, and mensuration 

Other topics include percentages, time speed distance, pipe cisterns, work time, profit and loss, mixtures, averages, ratios and proportion, simple interest, and compound interest 

The CAT exam is timed for 2 hours, with each section timed for 40

minutes. 

After cracking the CAT exam, you need to prepare for the admission process at various B-schools which typically includes shortlisting based on your CAT score, followed by further rounds like Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussions (GD), and Personal Interviews (PI) to secure a seat at your desired institution for an MBA program
