I started teaching Mathematics in 2002 when relative-students approached me for guidance and also because I have liking for mathematics from childhood. Over these 14 years, I have noticed student`s weaknesses. Based on these I developed simple techniques so that even a student who is weak in Mathematics will slowly develop liking for the subject and thus gradually starts scoring in Mathematics. This makes me very happy. I insist on remembering tables up to 30, squares of numbers up to 30 & cubes of numbers up to 20. This is very useful as it saves minimum 10 minutes in the examination.I ask student to list all important formula at the end of the note book. It is many times essential to remember formula from old classes as well( generally taught in eight standard onward) I ask student to solve more and more problems by referring these formula. Thus student remembers all the formula automatically. Few students approach only in November, when passing in Mathematics is also difficult for them. The first step in such cases is to ask student which lessons are difficult. In consultation with their parents, those lessons will be kept aside. Once 30 to 40 % portion is thus kept aside, student relaxes and starts understanding and solving problems from lessons of liking. Such student comfortably scores more than 50%. I feel if student gets guidance from April of academic year, he can certainly scores 90% plus. Joining Tutorials is essential but it is very difficult to keep pace with Tutorials as tutorials try to complete syllabus by September & student can not keep pace with tutorials. Hence 1 to 1 guidance, once in a week will be helpful & student can ask difficulties, which he can not ask in the tutorials. I always like solving mathematics problems & I have question bank collection from standard X to Engineering lesson-wise. Presently I am practicing on Mathematics for Diploma & Engineering courses & plan to start guidance/coaching about Diploma & Degree students from June 2016.
