If a person gets 8 marks out of 10 then ; (8/10)*100 = 80%. Hence the amount for which the percentage is required divided by total amount is then multiplied by 100 giving us the percentage.

Given a function f(x):- f(-x) = f(x) then it is even function f(-x) = -f(x) then it's odd function for example cos(-x) = cos(x) hence it's a even function.

Actually, velocity is displacement per unit time. The difference between the two is that speed is scalar and velocity is a vector quantity, i.e., it has direction the same thing goes with distance and displacement that displacement has direction, whereas, distance does not.
