IdentityI have had a long and interesting journey as a teacher. I had limited idea about my abilities before I started. Once I started teaching I found it extremely satisfying to be able to convey to my students the fundamentals of how and why a certain thing is such and such. It really does satisfy me to set them thinking and to get them to ask questions. I am against cramming up and would like the child to understand before they memorise. I am against corporal punishment and follow a friendly yet firm approach in handling them. I have a brilliant track record of which my social profiles on Facebook and Quora speak well.
I like to explain myself and the stuff I'm teaching through charts and drawings. I give multiple suitable examples to keep the child's attention. I give them tasks that they can easily perform to keep their confidence level high.
I appreciate what they do yet tell them subtly what exactly they need to do. My students, over short periods of time develop quite a few all round skills.
