Pavan V Ladda
Indian Classical Music(Vocal)
"Its worst. Just ask her to sing any song of your (or even her) choice. You will get the results immediately. "

Mr. Pavan, let me tell everybody that your requirements were different. Also you didn't come as a student. Even i haven't taught you. Also you met me only once that too for an hour. Also in that hour we only discussed about requirements only. In short you don't know whats the syllabus of my class, the way of teaching. Even you haven't attended my any single lecture, then how come you know that I am a worst. Please check that there must be some misunderstanding.

First of all you have to do riaz daily, riyaz of swaras, ragavistar, aalap, alankar and mandra madhya tar saptak. If you want to sing higher notes without straining your voice then do some warm up exercises. Stand up and try to touch your toes without bending your knees. If you work at stretching your vocal muscles every day, eventually the muscles get used to being stretched and it becomes easier and more comfortable to sing higher, your breath is an important part of learning how to sing high notes without straining your voice, so do pranayam daily.

There is no age limit but yes ideal age to start classical music is 5 to 10 years. I have seen some students of 5 years singing a song nicely, also their grasping capacity is good. So, its all about interest. If your kid has interest in music n if he/she is 5+ then you can easily join music classes. And my personal experience is if we join music classes and start singing at the age of 5 to 10 then we can grasp basics of singing easily as compared to older people. Also we can remember such knowledge for life time. It would be very easy for her to grasp the 'sur' quickly. Her age is perfect to start singing.
