A recipe calls for buttermilk but I don’t want to go to the store just for that. Can I make my own?

yes you could make it at home and use the same, just don't add sugar or salt.

how much time it takes to learn baking???

Baking does not take long to learn, just practice baking a lot, you will get the hang of it. We have a baking class next week for beginners which is hands on and interactive. If interested, let me know, we are based in Aundh.
