Nurturing Student Calibre through Academic and Community Development

With the zeal to always stay young at heart and motivated, I made one of the best decisions that was to get into the profession of ‘Teaching’. It taught me a lot per se that in turn helped me to give back much more to my students, at the junior college level, whilst I taught them Economics. To take my career a notch higher, I facilitated an in-school campaign called ‘The English All the Way Campaign’ that helped me inspire my students to increase their proficiency in the language. Building on my core competencies, I led the exchange programme with Mackillop Shool, Maidstone, Australia. This exposed me to the functioning of international schools under Brother Edmund Rice which promoted multicultural and diverse knowledge sharing within teachers and students. With the experience in teaching and cultural programmes that I have gained over the years, I would like to continue to develop students holistically to help them thrive in the rapidly changing digital world.
