I am very well versed with the revised Sanskrit syllabus. Though thought to be an easy subject, students find it difficult to score in Sanskrit because they do not have a strategy for it. What applies for other subjects, fails to work in Sanskrit. To score in Sanskrit, one has to be fluent in grammar and literature portion. Both these parts are extremely scoring but it is hard for students to master it without a guiding hand. The first thing I do when I start teaching my students is make them aware of Sanskrit grammar rules and its applications so their basics are clear. I gradually increase the difficulty level hence by the time we have completed the syllabus my students are proficient in language.
