Hi,

I am one of the parent and was interested in getting my kid admitted in HAL. They has issued forms made the kid attend interview and after 2 months the HAL Management has decided to provide admissions for the HAL Employees. During the time of providing the application they said that 75 students would be from HAL and 25 would be Non HAL Kids.

When the results were announced on the 24th Evening the list was for 75 ( Only kids of HAL employees) many parents like me had a thought that there is a possibility of their Kid getting admitted.

when I went and checked today the Admission office says the Management had decided not to provide admission for non HAL Staff kids.

They have given applications for around 400 Non HAL students which come up to roughly Rs. 80000/-.

Even today they are not ready to publish this information and only oral communication is being provided.

Is there any way we can go legally against them so that they wont do this in the future and it has created a lot of mention tension as well to many parents who were visiting the school daily for the past ten days.

Mahendra,
2 weeks back when i went to BGSNPS (Bannerghatta road) admissions are happening for 2nd and 3rd classes. (Nursery to 1st and 4th class admissions are over already). If you are interested please check this school.

Does anyone know if their selection process is centralized for all the NPS or will it be individually handled by all the different NPS'.

Does NPS admit kids into primary classes like 3rd, 4th etc if there's a vacancy ?
I believe they won't distribute forms since hardly any vacancies would be there.
But how can one apply for these classes ?

The selection process across NPS is not centrailized. They are individually handled by different NPS.

@srinivas: so if our kid is 3.10+,it is ok? I am asking coz my daughter is nov born and when she goes to LKG ,she will be 4.6... also can you suggest good pre-schools in and around Indiranagar? we are new to this area and we have no idea about good schools over here.i only heard NPS is good.

The NPS INR website says, admissions for the year 2012-13 is closed. I talked to them they said this means the acceptance of application forms is closed. They are yet to start calling for interviews and they will be closing by Dec 22. From Dec 23

I called up the school today and they informed that the process of calling for interviews will start post December 22nd. they haven't even touched the forms yet, they say.

Well said Kavitha and I completely agree. I would like to mention here that parents have no complete information when they simply blame schools (not just NPS). If a school has 500 seats does that mean the rest of the crowd should sit and write bad things about the school? Anyways people are not going to change. I would like to mention here that parents have no complete information when they simply blame schools (not just NPS). If a school has 500 seats does that mean the rest of the crowd should sit and write bad things about the school? Anyways people are not going to change. I have complete faith in NPS and their staff and curriculum. And this faith is not just about one generation. It is time tested. Also parents should note that they should send their child to a school which suits their point of view (wrt to academics, sports etc) and not expect schools to change according to their needs. Three cheers to NPS.
