Hi, I want to learn to play the violin, and I am not sure which violin to go for as a beginner. I don't have any local shop nearby, so I probably would have to order online. Can someone help with which violin I should buy?

First, ask your teacher which brand is good. I guess he is the best person to guide you better. And don't buy any instrument if you don't know anything about it.

You should always go to the store and check out yourself by playing on different acoustic instruments. Even if they look the same, the sound won't! Play by yourself and pick the one you like.

If anyhow you need it and you are a beginner go for a low cost around 2k-4k. From amazon.in, flipkart.com, bajaoo.com, Rajmusicals and finally Furtado's shop nearby city or state. Go ahead, happy learning!

Violin has different sizes according to the age. If you buy from online, you cannot check the instrument quality. Buy only if the return policy is there. Otherwise, buy from shops only. Some good violin models: GB&A, Granada, trinity, maestro.

Hi I am violinist and teacher, I would suggest you to take your teacher with you for violin purchasing because he or she will check everything into it. Please do not buy online as so many students have brought the violin online but most of them received defected piece.

First, you should examine if your child is interested in violin. Even if he is, do not purchase the violin immediately; you should take your child to the classes for two months at least. After that, if he is eager to learn more, you should go for buying one.
