I am a 2016 MCA graduate. I think I am good in programming but very poor in communication (English). Because of that, I am not placing any company. How can i improve myself in English? Give me some suggestions..

The first priority right now is to get a job. For that you need to clear the interview . So forget English language and firstly concentrate on preparing for interview. Make a list of all questions that are normally asked in a job interview, both personal and technical . Take help of your friends , teachers , relatives etc. to help in preparing for the interview . Focus on body language as well as speech. Keep answers simple and to-the-point. Please also follow suggestion given by others to read English newspapers, watch English programs and speak with people around you in English. With determination and focus success will be yours. HI Monali There are many ways in which you can develop your language skills. A good dictionary is an essential tool. It will help with meanings, usage as well as pronunciation. There are a number of online dictioneries too so you can hear the proper pronunciation. Vocabulary can be developed by reading newspapers, magazines. The "Readers Digest" is a good magazine. Pickup one or two new words daily and try and use in your speech. Listen to English news /radio channels so that you get comfortable with hearing the language. And most important, try and talk to as many people as possible in English. Most importantly, remember that English is NOT our mother tongue. There is no shame in making mistakes. How to improve self image, self confidence level? I always feel insecure and feel people are noticing me. I don't speak confidently in front of people. I am really fade up of this nature. I want to more socialize, more friendly, to express more confidentiality. Please help me.

Hi Manish, Confidence comes from self-image. You need to identify areas where YOU feel you need to improve. Is it i the way you dress, in posture, in communication skills, social skills, etc and then work to improve that area. you seem to be a shy person. Try and talk to 5 strangers every day. you can start with just asking for directions. once you are comfortable graduate to casual conversation. Make it a point to greet people you meet every day in your place of work, around residence etc. Before you know your confidence and your body language will change. Just try it.
