Just try to speak in English. Don't fear. If anyone laughs or says, you're mistaken. Ask them the correct way. Either they tell you, or they stop laughing at you (2nd is the most possible). Thus you build confidence in yourself. As for knowledge buildup, try to read the books in English in small paragraphs and try to understand. Try to speak in front of a mirror and see how you express yourself. Keep your shoulders erect. Use hands and eyes for gestures. It helps you correct your gestures, tempo, diction etc.
We say practice makes you perfect and confident. So it would help if you practised despite odds.

Why not? If you have a passion for dance, persistence to learn and perseverance to perform, you can do even at 81 (why 18). English for that matter any language speaking has two major points
1. Language - pronunciation, grammar and technique of using them with desired emotion.
2. Confidence to speak or removal fright to speak.
Normally we see many are with knowledge of 1 above but has fear to speak then we need to build confidence by using case studey, mirror technique etc.
If a student has both the problems starts with phonics grammar and while making him to converse first in his vernacular language n guide him to speak in English or the new language which he wishes to speak. Confidence boosting techniques employed to remove the frightt.
Aksharapriya ABCD works on each student diferently depending on the need rather than force.
