My MSc Statistics is helping me gain a deeper understanding of working with different datasets and understanding the data in a systematic and logical path. In addition, my undergraduate degree BSc Economics, Mathematics and Statistics has provided me with a strong base in analytical skills, economic theory, data analysis and statistical method. Since then, I have had a keen desire to make good use of career opportunities in the field of statistics and research.

Additionally, I have finished two summer Internships during my undergraduate degree in India. The first internship was done at Atrimed, a pharmaceutical company. Here I took up the role of a summer intern and worked on a project to examine the incidence of varicose veins among teachers. The second internship was completed in the prestigious Indian Statistical Institute, Bangalore. My project aimed to find the role of summer athletic camp in enhancing general fitness among children and adolescents. My internships gave me an opportunity to design research methods, collect data, analyse the data using multiple softwares and use numerical evidence to validate conclusion. Both the projects were highly appreciated my supervisor and the faculty in my university. From a young age I had a keen desire to work in a sector that makes a positive impact for the environment. Hence, I believe this internship is a good opportunity to bring both of them together.

I have also demonstrated the ability to work cordially with diverse groups of people by taking up various number of group activities and researches. Additionally, I have undertaken independent research projects; from the collection of data to the statistical analysis and validation of my results. Integration of statistical software like R (programming language), Python, SPSS and Excel into theoretical learning has helped in better understanding of statistical computing and data analytics.
