As we know that, single GM between two numbers a and b will be +(root (a*b)), Could anybody tell... ...more
As we know that, single GM between two numbers a and b will be +(root (a*b)), Could anybody tell me, why not -- (root (a*b)) While, 4 8 16 and 4 -8 16 both are in GP.

negative numbers don't have real square roots since a square is either a zero or a positive number

Secx+[(tanx)^2/(1+secx)]=?

we know (secx)^2-(tanx)^2=1 so (tanx)^2= (secx)^2-1 substitute for (tanx)^2 in question secx + (secx)^2 -1/(1+secx) we can write (secx)^2-1=(secx+1)(secx-1) then (tanx)^2 =secx+ (secx+1)(secx-1)/(1+secx) = secx + secx -1 = 2secx -1

Hi friends, please solve the following problem and post the solution ? If Sin (3x) = (root 10) / 8 then Sin x = ?

3x= sin^-1(root10) / 8.........(1) x=sin^-1(root10)/8/3...........(2) then find sin(x) from (2)

When light travels from air to water ,why there is change in wavelength but not frequency

frequency not changed by the medium but wavelength does
