Before studying, you need to have a plan. This is true for anything in your life. And again this plan varies from person to person. What I mean by that is every person is different, and their liking and disliking goes. So you need to identify your strengths and weaknesses for other subjects. Also, you need to identify which subject you like to study at what time. So it might be Maths in the early morning and Biology before. Again it will depend on you. Also, I would suggest studying in small intervals like 1.5 hr at a stretch. Then take a short break of 10-15 mins. Before starting again, think and try to analyze what you studied earlier. Also, make a habit of keeping small notes for whatever you are studying. It will help you with revising things fast.
Coming back to the last part of your question, I am assuming by the attention you mean how to stand out. I may sound philosophical, but you need to keep the hard work going, and the rest of the things will fall in place. You may falter once or twice, don't worry too much about that. Keep going with a single-minded focus. Also, I will strongly suggest that you keep yourself involved in some team game. This will help you in thinking out of the box. I hope I was able to answer your queries.
