I am pursuing my PhD in Gender Studies from University of Hyderabad. I have passed CBSE HS examination in Humanities with 93.75%. I did my BA (Hons.) in Sociology from St. Xavier's College Kolkata with a first class. MA in Sociology and MPhil in Sociology, both have been completed from University of Hyderabad with first class in both. I have been invited to give master classes in Sociology for students of classes 11-12, as well as Social Science for classes 9-10 at Mahadevi Birla World Academy, Kolkata. I also have 3 years of experience in providing home tuition in social science to students. As part of NSS from my college, I have taken classes of underprivileged students in Kolkata. I endeavour to break down the basic elements of a subject in a lucid manner, communicating the principles simply to students. Since social science disciplines are very interactive, I prefer teaching some topics through group discussions and presentations. I emphasize on students developing an interest in the subjects they are studying, rather than simple rote learning. All efforts will be taken to provide notes and suggestions to students. I will also take monthly tests so that students' skills and efforts are recognized.
