Taekwondo is more effective or karate?

Every art has different benifits and aspects so you can't say which is better. It depends on the practitioner only. If you are a well trained taekwondo Player you can beat a karate guy and if you are good in your karate skills you can beat a taekwondo guy. It's not about the art it's about how you train your art with devotion and hard work.

Both are Effective forms of Martial Arts.

There are some little differences, you can say that they focus more on speed in Taekwondo, but on the other hand, Karate focuses more on Power.

In Taekwondo they focus more on kicks on the other hand In Karate (There are different forms of Karate, Example - Chito-Ryu, Goju-Ryu, Shito-Ryu, Shotokan, Uechi-Ryu, and Wado-Ryu) they focus on punches and kicks equally.

But In the End, what matters is not which form you have learned. What matters is how much have you learned in a specific form of Martial Arts,

Because, it is the skill that counts, not Form.

Karate is the kind of Martial Arts, in which one can fight with empty hand. Here ,one can defend the attack and further proceed with his attrack.

Where else in Taekwondo is different kind of Martial Arts , in which lock and throw are most prefer.

Whatever the difference you find in both karate and taekwondo, the effect and interest show by the learner will help with to acheive it.
