Hello students,

All the very best for your exams.

Lesson 1. Writing:-

It takes minimum of 6 months training to clear IELTS exam. Since most students have time constraint certain tips can be followed.

Writing is an art. IELTS examiners not only test English language skills, they also test general knowledge, critical thinking, creativity, originality, reasoning and attitude.

Writing requires grammar, vocabulary and style.

Using compound complex sentence is considered good style of writing. The moment I said compound complex forms, students need not get perterbed. Its nothing but using linkers like, therefore, moreover nevetheless etc., apart from using words like though, although, if and when, which are subordinating conjunctions in your writing task 1 and 2. These words in coherence with templates like, with the booming of economy, with the advancement in science and technology, adds spice to mundane activities etc students can score a decent band in writing.

Its better not to repeat the words that are in the question sentence.

How to improve on vocabulary:-

  1. Organize the words you already know into various headings like

education, children, senior citizens, economy of a country, technology as a boon or bane, family etc.

When you segregate the words some may overlap no problem later frame sentences using the words. Usage of articles like a, an, the should be minimal. In vernnacular language it would be in practice but not required in English language.

Number of words in the first line multiplied by number of line will give you, approximate Number of words in the essay. Row * column.

The students can attend general English classes, GRE classes too to become expert in vocabulary and grammar.

There are many more lessons.
