Become familiar with the type of questions that are asked in the passages - sentence completion, multiple choice, identifying the writers view(yes, no, not given), identifying information (true, false, not given), choosing paragraph headings, diagram label completion etc. Also, it's a good idea to skim and scan through passages to save time, instead of reading the section completely and then attempting answers. Do not linger too much in a section as there is no negative marking for wrong answers. Finally, reading skills improve if you read up on a variety of topics outside of your IELTS practice lessons. It aids in your writing section as well. read less
