Take lots of mock tests and if you're getting a low score, practice by listening to Youtube videos on a variety of subjects. Summarise the audio after you hear it. If you do that you will pay attention to everything being said in the audio.

To improve the listening skills, underline the key words given in the question paper beforehand and try to listening to those very ketwords in the recording. It will make easier to locate the answers.
