I have seen lot of students taking classes for QUANT and preparing every topic but yet not able to score high. Ever thought of reason behind the same? I guess...no!
Well, it doesnt matter how much topics you practice before the exams but what matters is how much you confidently attempt correctly in the exam. Most of you might be guessing that aint both the things same? If we won't practice much then how come we will be able to score high. Now lets us clear this picture a bit more:
Mr A and Mr B both start preparing for IBPS say 5 months and 1 month before the actual exam respectively. Mr A prepares every topic and practice everything from chapter 1 to the last and goes on to take the exam. On the other hand, Mr. B by virtue of his letharginess opens the book at the very last moment and prepares only few topics. When the results are out, Mr B manages to clear the cut off whereas Mr. A could not.
Why? This is called preparation strategy.
You should be knowing well off before the exams that what all questions you will be attempting in the exam and what all you should be skipping. People put more efforts on topics like percentage as they are helpful in solving questions on profit/loss and data interpretation. They never touch topics like geometry, boats and streams or even profit and loss where there are independent questions and huge calculations involved. You are required to solve 1 question in less than a minute ideally to score high in this and therefore you need a well defined strategy for this.
