For instance, if your goal is to work for a specific company XYZ then you would want to first assess what kind of a Hadoop certification the employer is looking for. If the hadoop job opening is specific about certification from a particular vendor like Hortonworks or Cloudera then the decision should be based on that. Other factors include cost of hadoop certification, validity of the certification, etc.What is important is not from where a professional has got the hadoop certification but what they have learnt while achieving the big data certification, regardless of whether it is from Cloudera, Hortonworks, MapR or any other vendor. Both Cloudera Hadoop Certification and Hortonworks Hadoop Certification test your practical hadoop knowledge on data ingestion, data transformation and data analysis helping big data recruiters identify candidates who can work in hadoop environment.
