The benefits of playing guitar go far beyond the pleasure of a great hobby. The first time that you pick up a guitar you get a sense of power. Not anything superhuman just yet, but you get the feel of the potential in yourself when play your first sounds. You find determination, patience and a sense of challenge that empowers you to strive for the best.

You learn how to succeed as you build your skills and knowledge base. Humility takes on the experience of creativity. You have a vast arena to express your emotions from happiness to the blues, to triumph and wonder. Whether you are learning your favorite songs or you are writing original tunes, you are exploring the guitar and the art, language and science of music.

You can also indulge in the occasional self indulgent, bombastic, volcanic solo. Your music can laugh, cry, build and release tension and tell great stories.

Play guitar (or any other instrument) and light up a corner of your life.

Good luck!

Okay so first things first. Playing guitar requires the involvement of our hands shoulder amd elbow. In short you develop something called muscle memory (it's very similar to our actual memory) muscle memory helps us to play effortlessly and seamlessly cause your fretting and picking hand already know by muscle memory which chord or which note to hit the next. Coming to the psychological aspects - you develop focus, concentration, grit(the willingness to finish a task onve you start it) it has been shown and proven in various statistical surveys that when a child is exposed to music at an early developmental stage they're 70% likely to perform better in academics and co-curricular activities than their peers. It helps us to think constructively and execute the same. And coming to the  therapeutic, feel good factor or the confidence you get when you successfully say for example learn a tune or a piece it is worth all those efforts
