GMAT stands for the Graduate Management Admission Test and it is conducted by GMAC (Graduate Management Admission Council),  is a computer Adaptive Test intended to test the Writing, Verbal, Analytical, Quantitative and reading skills. It is used in admission to a graduate management program, like MBA. It is outlined to speculate that how well the test taker is going to perform in MBA.

You can take GMAT 5 times in a year and 8 times in life but each attemp should be atleast after 16 days from the last test and these scores are valid for five year.

The only restriction is that you can only take the GMAT exam once every 31 calendar days and no more than five (5) times in a rolling 12-month period. If you take the GMAT test more often than allowed, your new scores will not be reported and you will forfeit the entire test fee.
