Mohiniyattam is originated in Kerala whereas Kuchipudi is originated in Andhra Pradesh.
Mohiniyattam's dance style is lasya dance style which means it's feminine,graceful and tender. whereas Kuchipudi dance style combines Tandava,(masculine) and lasya elements(feminine).
Mohiniyattam is characterized by swaying body movements, gludes and up and down movements on toes Kuchipudi is known for it's dynamic footwork and expressive eyes movements.
Mohiniyattam uses flute,Veena and percussion instruments like mridangam,Idakka and kuzhitalam whereas Kuchipudi uses Veena,flute,tambura cymbals and mridangam.
