Alternative current occurs.... change of sign periodically ( possitive and negative)... Possitive consider it as on and negative consider it as off.... But we can't observe practically .. because of frequency of AC current is 50Hz to 60Hz..

A railway carriage of mass 9000 kg moving with a speed of 36 kmph collides with stationary carriage of the same mass. After the collision, the carriages get coupled and moved together. What is their common speed after collision? What type of collision is this?
The objects move together after the collision and have a common velocity. So it's a perfectly inelastic collision. To find the velocity we use Law of conservation of linear momentum. Given velocity v1=...

A shell of mass 0.020kg is fired by a gun of mass 100kg. If the muzzle speed of the shell is 80m/s, what is the recoil speed of the gun?
Mass of the gun, M = 100 kg Mass of the shell, m = 0.020 kg Muzzle speed of the shell, v = 80 m/s Recoil speed of the gun = V Both the gun and the shell are at rest initially. Initial momentum of the system...
