Let us assume that Ram has x no. of stamps and Ankush has y no. of stamps. Also, x = (4/5)y since Ram has 4/5 stamps as Ankush. Now, we know that x + y = 4500 ( since total number of stamps are 4500) And x = (4/5)y Seeing both the equations (4/5)y + y = 4500 9y = 4500×5 y = (4500 × 5)/9 y...

Let us assume that Ram has x no. of stamps and Ankush has y no. of stamps. Also, x = (4/5)y since Ram has 4/5 stamps as Ankush. Now, we know that

x + y = 4500 ( since total number of stamps are 4500)

And

x = (4/5)y

Seeing both the equations

(4/5)y + y = 4500

9y = 4500×5

y = (4500 × 5)/9

y = 2500 stamps.

So Ankush has 2500 stamps.

Ram +Ankush=4500 stamps Ram=4/5 of Ankush Let Ankush has x stamps, so Ram=4/5 of x. (4/5)x+(1/1)x=4500 LCM of 5 and 1 is 5 (4x*1+1x*5)/5=4500 9x/5=4500 x=(4500/9)*5 x=2500 Ankush had 2500 stamps.
