Set your budget as 6-7k. Try for brands Havana, Granada, gb&a or filbert. Any of these will be of acceptable quality and will satisfy beginners. To start with spending this budget is enough. Please don't buy from amazon and please don't go for black colour as the tonality of the violin gets reduced. Buy from Bajaoo.com.

The grade exams which are done by bridge academy and many other institutions are just for your satisfaction. If you want a valid certificate and proper accreditation you need to learn a crash course or a bridge course for six months from Madras University which has a great value and after that, you can directly apply for M.A in music for three years. Rest all accreditations cannot be used anywhere.

It depends on what u want to sing. Basically if u want to sing songs which are famous in tamil u have to learn carnatic, the ones in hindi are more hindusthani oriented lik movies like bajiraao or jodha Akbar. Western is the genre which u would have listened from people like shruthi haasan . So tje genre u want ro learn dpeends on what type of songs u want to sing
