Have been teaching Maths for high school students for the past 20 years. Good at teaching the fundamentals since I believe that once a student is good at basics he/she can enjoy doing math problems. Providing answers and explanations to the Whys and Hows will deepen the foundation so that students feel comfortable solving math problems. Presently teaching Mathematics to high school students from India (IGCSE), USA (Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Pre-Calculus), UK (Cambridge GCSE), Singapore (IGCSE, Singapore Normal & Express Streams, IB), Bahrain (CBSE), New Zealand through Online mode (Skype, Hangouts). How I do it: My PC screen is shared with the student as whiteboard. On the whiteboard notes/steps are clearly written and explained using a graphics tablet. If an e-book is available then that is also shared. The whole session is fully interactive and the student's doubts are answered immediately. Since the interaction is one-on-one and paced to the comfort of the student it is very effective. The comprehension of the student and his/her progress is continuously monitored and feedback given instantly. This really helps the student fare better in his quiz, test and exams.
