Self-study can be done, but it takes more time for you to understand the terms as it may be new to you. If you are going to do self-study, you can do by taking help if youtube classes study material and practice manual.
For accounts tax and costing it's better to join classes.
If you are going to do by yourself, get the help of accounting standard book by DS Rawat for accounts.

Self study or coaching again deponds on the individuals capability to understand the concepts.I personally wouldnt recommend classes for all of them but there might be a few who might require some support and guidance and for them classes would be really useful when it comes to pratical papers like costing,accounts,Tax etc....But when it comes to theory i would defenitely suugest not going to classes and wasting time and money but instead sit and home prepare on your own.
