CAT is a challenging exam and challenging to crack. Each section has cut off; you should prepare for at least two years before you appear for the exam since you are employed and constrained for time. I suggest after one-year preparation, and you take the exam. It will help you make a fair assessment of your performance, and if you are successful in cracking the exam, then you are through. If you are unsuccessful, then prepare for another year.
