CFSSEL(Centre For Systematic Study of English Language) was established in 2013 to train people to speak English fluently and write effectively at level-1,level-2 and level-3 in which, the participants are taught functional grammar and ways to improve their speaking and writing skills by applying those rules. There will be a lot of practice sessions in which the participants are encouraged and trained to speak on the basis of their real life experiences rather than making them read ready-made conversation as is done in some of the institutes. In the course of training, they will acquire a strong classified vocabulary which will surely reinforce their ability to speak fluently with confidence. In level-2 and level-3, the participants are also trained to deliver short speeches, attend interviews.
A special Grammar and Composition course for CBSE,ICSE and State Syllabus students of 5th standard and above is being conducted in which the students are taught the basic principles of Grammar and Composition and are also trained to improve their speaking skills and writing skills which goes a long way in making them better and effective communicators. The students are made to do a lot of exercises by understanding the basic concepts of Grammar and Composition rather than making them do the exercises for the sake of examination. Another important aspect is that individual attention is given to each student which of course, is not possible in a school.
The courses are conducted by a teacher who has a post-graduate degree in English literature from the University of Mysore and several years of teaching experience.
The centre has trained more than 70 students/participants since 2013.
Study material prepared by the centre is furnished after each session which covers all the chapters taught.
The classes are provisionally scheduled at 7am-9am,11am-1pm,3pm-5pm and 6pm-8pm.
The duration of each course is 2 months (48 hrs). Each session is of 2 hrs duration on 3 days a week
The centre has a branch at Tata silk farm, Basavanagudi, Bangalore and in Tyagaraja Nagar, Bangalore.But individual training is given only in the main branch at JP Nagar,Bangalore.
