IdentityI, D. Maria Vijaya Prakash would like to present myself as an aspirant trainer and here with present a short summary about my personal and professional achievements. Having been brought up in a family of teachers, I have naturally developed a great passion for teaching. However, due to financial demands I had to opt for other careers. My mother was a teacher in Railway school, my brother is a Professor and HOD in Loyala college and my wife too is an associate professor, which makes me feel that teaching runs in the family.
Having done both my UG and PG in Mathematics from Loyala College has given me the opportunity to study under the guidance of the greatest minds my time. We had professors who were handpicked based on their expertise in the field. This enabled me to gain a thorough knowledge in the subject. During my tenure in Loyola College I have actively participated in the all the seminars, conferences and other co-curricular activities organized which further widened my knowhow on the subject. Later on I have worked as a subject matter expert in MacMillan the leading publishers in the field of books.my passion for teaching has led me take evening tuitions. I usually dont directly start away with classes . I first analyse my students, understand their knowlege level and start teaching in small understandable chunks. I focus on teaching the concept thoroughly rather than covering the syllabus, however, by the end of the day I also make sure the syllabus covered fully.
