Scales means Do, Re, Mi, Fa, So, La, Ti, Do (that is Sa, Ri, Ga, Ma, Pa, Dha, Ni, Sa in Karnatak Sangeetam). As many number of scales, the...

Scales means Do, Re, Mi, Fa, So, La, Ti, Do (that is Sa, Ri, Ga, Ma, Pa, Dha, Ni, Sa in Karnatak Sangeetam). As many number of scales, the more pitch matching songs we can play. Pitch match means if I am singing a song in C scale, the violin player should play the song in C scale. If violin player plays it in D scale or F scale, there is a mismatch of pitch between singer and violin player. If you want to reduce tuning to half step low, ask a question. If we tune violin half step low there is less probability of E string getting cut. All strings should be half step low.
