Vedic maths ,and use of abacus is necessary for solving numerical in short time ...it is helpful in NEET and CET ....as log table use is not allowed .As a professional teacher in physics for more than 8 yrs I recommend if you are in 8 or 9 class and you dream for IIT and NEET plzz do crash course of Vedic maths for multiplication and division too much depth nor required
