PRESENT TENSE
SIMPLE PRESENT: POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE SENTENCES
Usage:
- To express one’s habits, general truths, repeated actions or unchanging situations, emotions and wishes.
- To give instructions or directions
- To express fixed arrangements , present or future
POSITIVE SENTENCES
STRUCTURE
Subject + Verb – 1st form (add or don’t add s/es) + Object.
Note: Add s/es to the 1st form of the verb (1st form of the verb given in the verb list ) depending on the subject used in the conversation.
For example:
- Subject ‘I’ is always treated as first person in the English language and when adding a verb next to it, it should always be in the 1st form of the verb without s/es.
Examples:
- I come every day.
- I sing
- I talk to the customers.
- I like chocolates.
