I meet many people everyday who mispronounce commonly used words and when corrected don't even bother to improve. Well to get good pronunciation skills only speaking practice is not sufficient. You need to be corrected where ever you go wrong.Reading newspaper or watching English channels alone will not help you in this regard. A mentor or trainer is much needed in this area.
