The grammar for both General and Spoken English is the same. Unless you do not know the grammar and how sentences are constructed you will not be able to speak the language.

English in general has several rules, like any other language, which are to be followed strictly in written communicarion. Then only it can be called good English. While spoken, since body language - including pauses, gestures, etc - assists the comnunication significantly, the sentences would not be gramnatically complete always. Single words, interjections, conjunctions, etc would carry the meaning appropriately. In fact, if grammatically perfect sentences are spoken they may imply unnaturalness, very formal environment, or even curtness and carry a different (or, sometimes, even opposite, meaning). read less
