You didn't mention your education/ functional back ground, if you are a B.tech graduate and have some coding background , it is always suggested start with ABAP and continue to understand functionality like SD/MM/PP/FI etc.
If you are an M.B.A graduate/ Accounting background explore functional side like SD/MM/FICO as you know the functionality/Business process of your compay, it will alwyas gives you an edge to leverage your experience into IT side
