In SAP fields SAP FICO is the most demanding module, Amoung all the modules in SAP SAP FICO is main pillar of the project, so if you wanted to go for SAP finance then your future will be secure. The only thing I wanted to advise here is SAP Finance and Costing is the most advanced and most dynamic and vast module in terms of the subject. If you can complete the total subject in a proper manner then the sky will be the limit.

Now talking about your background, you can be sap MM consultant based on your experience of purchase manager or can be an SAP fico professional based on your education background .so choose wisely as per your interest.
