IdentityI basically hail from a corporate background, having served in the Advertising Industry (agencies like O&M and Lintas) for close to 13 years. After taking a breaking for almost 4 years to raise little children, I went onto set up an E-Commerce venture with my husband. We worked extremely hard for 4 years and set up a successful venture, both nationally and internationally.
While on break in Ahmedabad (where my husband was working with Citibank), I got associated with Professional Tutorials (one of few prestigious coaching centres for CAT, MAT, GMAT etc.) I was coaching students for GMAT and MAT specializing in Mathematics. I was also taking classes on Personal Interviews and Group Discussions.
With some experience, I had started taking classes in Quantitatives for CAT aspirants. I have appeared for the GMAT myself and have had a respectable score of 740 in the same.
I can counsel students who suffer from low confidence, boredom or fear of studies. Talking to them, connecting with them, making them my friend and then inculcating certain good practices in them is my style.
My methodology involves using Strategies to enable students to understand and remember topics more easily and better. Studies never become a bore. I talk to them about a lot variety of subjects (as I am an avid book reader myself) which gets them interested in self education to a major extent.
