Shahnawaz Chowdhary

Dr. Shahnawaz Chowdhary is an Assistant Professor at Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) in Rajouri, J&K. He holds a Ph.D. in Tourism & Travel Management from Indira Gandhi National Open University and has an extensive academic background, including an M.Phil. and a Master of Tourism Administration. With over six years of teaching experience and more than four years in the industry, Dr. Chowdhary has held various academic positions, including lecturer and manager roles.

His scholarly contributions include numerous research papers, book chapters, and presentations at national and international conferences. He has been recognized for his professional and academic achievements with awards such as the Global Gandhi Ratna Award 2022 and the AAHAR WAYS Award 2023.

Dr. Chowdhary is actively involved in academic and professional communities, holding memberships in several tourism and human rights organizations. His research interests focus on sustainable tourism development, and he has conducted significant studies in this area. He is also a certified instructor with the American Hotel & Lodging Education Institute and has organized and led numerous training sessions and workshops.
