Posture is very crucial before hitting the keys as it will prevent our body from any damage or stress ocurring from prolonged practice. It should be correct from the top of your head to the tips of your toes. Good Posture helps us to play with greater sensitivity and it allows us to produce continuous power and flow while we play.
Ten commandments for playing the piano/keyboard in correct posture
1. Stable feet on the ground/surface
2. Knees slightly under the piano/keyboard
3. Sit on the front half of the bench
4. Straight back instead or curved
5. Elbows slightly higher than piano/keyboard
6. Loose shoulder
7. Loose pulse
8. Round hand
9. Long neck
10. Amarionette held from above(head)
