Fees are a very subjective thing, and it varies drastically. The only suggestion I'd give is rather than taking money so seriously give priority to that person's knowledge and experience. That will be the most crucial thing if you're serious about it, saving a few bucks might seem a good idea in the beginning. Still, it might not end the way you want. The second thing is how much time does it take? So if you're very serious and passionate about it and you give a reasonable amount of time to it, it will take you somewhere around 4 to 6 months to be able to play quite a few things amazingly. The more you learn, the more you practice, the better you will get in it.

Dear Sachit, I believe your question is about the minimum fees of a Piano tutor and the time required to be an acceptable level Pianist. Practising 1 hour daily is fair enough at the beginning. Tutor quality varies so is the fees. You can have a Piano tutor who takes takes 4 classes a month from Rs. 1800/p.m to Rs. 800/ p.m. Quality matters as far as fees are concerned and the method of teaching as well. In music 80% is listening of song/music, rest is learning & practising of the instrument including individual musical sense. More you listen more you tend to be a good pianist, of course practise hour needs to be increased as you become gradually senior, like in school . I believe this clarifies your queries. If students is seriously want to do career in music they have start proper class to right teacher and studies doing in grades, once a student learn to play western solos and staff notation reading eg. Mozart,bach etc like composers solos students automatically write hindi songs notation easily and compose his own tunes.

if you prefer online than it ll be around 1.5k to 2k but if you prefer students home than it might be around 2.5k to 3.5k......first start with keyboard and after that go on with piano....music life is never ending but if you want to learn chords with daily practice it will take around 1month......but patience and hardworking is required for every music

The minimum fee for learning piano it would be INR 2000 starting and the learning time takes according to your practice if you practice daily it’s good you will learn quickly but what are you practicing that’s important. I would say learning don’t have any limits so I can’t tell you how much time it will take it’s all depend on you. Thanks

Learning piano can take you 6 to 8months because you need lot of practice & patience. Learning piano is very very tough better go for keyboard & piano requires daily practice without 1day gap you have to practice till you become perfect & clear with all the concepts.
