If you need to lighten your dark brush strokes, simply mix the given colour with white and apply or start by building a layer of white followed by the colour you wanna add.

If you want lighten the acrylic paint, you can dampen the colour mixture with the help of brush and add some light shade of colour. You lower down the tints by adding white to the colour
