Ms. Varsha's class introduces the basic technical foundations of ballet with an athletic approach. This class eloquently fuses the elements of ballet and fitness in addressing full body strengthening and stretching, focusing on the correct placement and alignment of joints, bones and muscles. We work to strengthen and lengthen our spine, core, legs and arms, all while maintaining the quality of effortlessness and grace through the movements. The class is designed keeping in mind the principles of GYROTONIC®, Floor Barre and Pilates. She teaches how to workout effectively and efficiently without getting exhausted.
Whether you are just starting out your journey as a dance and fitness enthusiast or you are a former dancer/athlete looking to get back in shape, this class is suitable for all ages and physical backgrounds.
All you need to carry for the class is a yoga mat, comfortable workout clothes and a bottle of water. Feel free to keep handy any light weight dumbbells or resistance bands to give yourself a little more challenge during the workouts, but they are not necessary for this class. You will be guided through all the moderations and tips to get the most of each exercise.
