Jolly Phonics is a comprehensive programme, based on the proven, fun and muliti-sensory phonics method that gets children reading and writing from an early age. We teach letter sounds as opposed to the alphabet. Advanced Phonics Course is best for students who have done the Basic Phonics Course. This is a group online class. 1-on-1 is also available.

 The chid will learn-

1. Digraph sounds: By definition digraphs are a combination of two letters. There are a) consonant digraphs- ch, sh, th, wh, ph, ng, ck and b) vowel digraphs- ai, ay, ee, ea, ie, ei, oo, ou. ow, oe, oo, ue, ey, ay, oy, oi, au, aw. Children will be introduced to all the above digraph sounds with a multi-sensory approach involving actions, stories, songs, and practice for comprehensive learning.
2. Reading:After mastering the sounds, children progress to combining the sounds to read and write CCVC, CVCCand CCVCC words like "chat," "much," and "chest."
3. Spelling: Identifying beginning, middle and ending sounds, also known as segmenting. Through this skill children will spell these words.
4. Sight words(also known as Tricky words)- Sight words do not follow phonics rules. After a quick revision of the sight words covered in the Basic Phonics Course, the children will learn more sight words. This will increase reading fluency and enhance confidence. 

Additionally there will be lots of vocabulary building with every sound. Children will also read and write sentences.
