key of success in compititive exam is first of all you have to do all your concept strong for that you should have to go with standard book for that NCERT best.after that important thing is that you should have to practise more and more questions(6000-10000 question) which will boost ur confidence.howmuch practice of no of questions you will do,getting selection chances increases,no.of question practice may be in various way like test series,previous years questions,coaching institute papers etc.

Keep your 101% focus on the NCERT 11th & 12th books. Do thorough study including "Points to remember", Diagrams, etc. & cover every inch corner of the book completely. 85 Out of 100 questions come from NCERT books & if you're worried about the rest of the 15 questions then in my personal opinion & experience I recommend you to do 1st study NCERT thoroughly after that go through the "Sarita Agarwal" biology books of 11th & 12th class. This book covers all the extra useful study material apart from the NCERT for your NEET & AIIMS UG entrance exam. NCERT Books are the best one for any subject while preparing for NEET exam. For Biology along with NCERT you can follow your school text book and always keen in mind that before starting preparation of any exam always keep previous year question paper with you and it would be the best guildline regarding what should be the major focus area for each topic.
